It depends on what you want it for...

I had one when I had the ARB roof top tent and trekked that thing all over new England for two weeks. It's a sturdy well built cage, no drill, easy install. The biggest problem I had was opening the soft top with it on, even using the tilt feature.

No to brag (but I will) if you go to Quadratecs website, the pics of the JK with the cage are of my rig!

Gimme a call if you have more questions

Must be rough...

It will be more than adequate for that. Get the cross bars that are available. As for prices, you're on your own there

If you unscrew the soft top bows from the frame, you can drop the top easier.

I love my Kargo Master. Makes my Jeep stand out. The only one I see in my part of Htown. Got it for our kayak, then the wife got pregnant so haven't taken the kayak on it long distances. Seems real solid. Opening the soft top is a PITA. That is why I am selling my Soft top. Will probably get a Trektop once my newborn is old enough to go topless. Any one have any info on where to get the crossbars? Those things are expensive.
I may not sell my top if you can elaborate on disconnecting the bars for the soft top

outinthewoods on this forum disconnects his bows, then pulls the soft top back underneath the rack. then he just reconnects the bows and done.

Appreciate that info. I tried that too. Got so pissed off I just pulled the whole top off. Once I got it back, couldn't get it folded right to set in the back of the Jeep. Need to work on patience I guess. There isn't a Youtube video of how it is done is there?

not sure, and i've only seen it done on a two door with a bestop. but i have to believe that it can be done with a stock top as well.

Definately sorry for the hijack. I got mine from Qtec. it was the cheapest I found it a year ago. Worth every penny.

I have mine & use it for carrying Kayak, etc. Humms pretty good when it is unloaded, but quiets down with a load on it. Yea, PITA to lift soft top & down, using tilt feature, but I tend to use a trail top instead. They do a dual powder coating on the tubing, so no rust is forming after 1yr of use.
