School me on wheel adapters please

May be able to get a good deal on some tires that are mounted on 6 lug wheels. What are the cons to getting adapters to slap these on my Jeep?

It's getting to be past time for some new rubber for me and going to upgrade to 35s. Any of the site vendors here have some smoking deals going on?

Do you know what the backspacing on the wheels is?

Reason I ask, is if it is a shallow BS, it may stick the wheels out too far. Or the opposite, it could be a high backspace, and it may tuck the wheel in too far.

Thanks for the response. Asked him for more details including that this morning and waiting to hear back.

I run 1" spacers from Spidertrax on my Jeep with stock rims and 33's.

If you're going to be doing some serious off-roading I would recommend aftermarket rims with more backspacing. But spacers are firm for the average weekend warrior.

I hope this helps. Hopefully other more knowledgeable members will speak up.

I bent axle housings and never had issues with my spidy-trax. Retorque at specified intervals. (I never did, but seems like sound advice)
