Best Android Apps for finding trails?

What is the best Android app for finding trails in and around your state?

Are the free apps worth it?

PS Tried to do searches... If in wrong forum...Mods please move it to the correct one.

Google Maps? That's what I always use. I just look for dirt roads on the satellite image, and then drive there and see if there's a gate blocking it or not. If you're looking for trails in a state or national park, (also DNR or other public land) their website usually has a list or map of the trails and any current closures or permits you might need. The information is out there, you just have to know where to find it. You can't always rely on an app for everything.

The best way is to join a group and go wheel with them. Then either have a good memory or use a mapping app to record the trail for future use.

It's mostly California and Utah, but this site is interesting.

Not an app but you can access it from your phone.
