Higher mileage JK, bad idea?

I've had a couple of JKs in the past (2010 Islander, 2015 Sport) but currently thinking I need another one in my life.

I've found a 2 door 2007 X 6 speed at - what seems to be - a good price (just over $10K) . Clean title, but high-ish miles (140K).

What should I be looking out for? How are these holding up over the years? The automatic trans in my 2010 was junk (needed a rebuild at 35K) but what about the stick? Realistically how good are the engines on these over higher mileages (it's a timing chain rather than belt, I assume?).

Would appreciate any input...

id say it prob doesnt have a long time, my motor blew up at 70k trans at 90k (auto) but my freind works at a dealer where they traded a mail JK in with 298k on it so you never know, even at that price you could put a used motor in if needed and still be good. or you could buy my JK for a little more and not have to worry about it lol

Mine has 135k on on and the the motor was toast when I bought it at 95k about a year ago, as far as I know the trans is original and never been flushed or anything

Got mine with 102K and its running strong. PO used it only as a daily driver/grocery getter in town so it has seen a mild life.

110k miles on my 2010 JKUR, auto, daily driver. Engine burns a little more than a qt every 1k miles and the trans shifts a little hard sometimes. Oil changed every 3k.

Only problem I've had with the engine/trans is a broken driver side exhaust manifold which is common. I get a cold start rattle which I'm thinking is the cats, no codes though.
