Exclamation Need help deciding on tube doors please!

So I was dead set on body armor because they look really cool and then I came across the barricade which I've never heard of, but seem to be really sturdy and offer a little protection. I've never had any tube door before, but with kids it just gives me a tiny piece of mind. What would you you guys recommend? Thanks for the help.

All of my kids are grown so I just run without the doors but understand your concern. Looking at the Body Armor doors and the Barricade doors I would go with the Body Armor ones because they look more astatic to me. The Barricade one look a little prisoner transporter.

I have the body armors and love 'em. Just enough protection from falling out but still have that open feeling. Only minor issue was getting the latches lined up but I think they addressed that in the newest generation. Once closed they are very secure. Looks like they both use the same latching mechanism so they should be fine.
I agree with kaythree - those Barricades look like horizontal prison bars, but if you are worried about youngsters falling out they look like they are taller and would offer more peace of mind. They're easy enough to remove so if you're going out solo you can take 'em off in about 5 minutes.

What is the newest generation on the body armor and where do you recommend buying them? I don't want to buy an old version.

Looks like a post I would have written. My kids are grown as well so no doors here either and an orange jumpsuit with the Barricade doors would be fitting.

I have kids and switched from tube doors to soft doors and love them!! I would at least throw them in the mix for consideration.

The Body Armor doors are available from any 4x4 parts store. Just make sure they are listed as the Gen III versions. Here's the explanation on the difference from a question asked on a suppliers website;

Hello, What is the difference from the Gen 2 doors?

A: Jose,
The new Body Armor 4x4 Front GEN III Trail Doors with Black Nylon Webbing is now made in the USA with a thicker, better quality webbing and there is more adjustability in the latch for easier install. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
Thanks!

Our customers have been really happy with the Barricade Tube Doors and I think you will be too. They fit great and you can't beat the price. Let me know if you have specific questions about them or if you'd like a quote!

Here are other options for you-- http://4wheelonline.com/jeep/Jeep_Do...or_Parts.45130. I'm planning to get the OR-Fab since it comes with nylon pad for added protection and comfort.

I've had the OR-Fab rock doors for a good while and think they are awesome. They do not rattle.
