EAD Offroad Experience? I'm having issues

Hey Jeepers,
Just trying to get an idea if I should start to worry or get upset...

On 5/4/15 i placed an order for the GOBI Jeep JK Roof Rack Replacement Wear Pads and Bushings Kit and was told:

"Your Gobi order has been processed. Gobi orders typically take 5-6 weeks to ship. We will contact you when your order ships with shipping information.

We appreciate the business and hope to see you online again soon.

EAD Offroad Customer Relations
[email protected]"

I was a little bummed because at most i though it would only be 10-15 days (as stated) but figured it must be the norm with Gobi... it has now been almost 10 weeks of waiting and I can no longer get ahold of anyone there... sent a few e-mail and left 2 voice mails... I called Gobi and they said my wait should not be more than 2 weeks.

I really am trying to be positive and had quite a few more Gobi items i wanted to order but not getting a warm and fuzzy on the wait and lack of response.

This is what I ordered: (no big items to build or pack and ship)

I posted this on JK-forum as well--> http://www.jk-forum.com/forums/jk-talk-26/ead-offroad-experience-im-having-issues-323951/#post4121657

Hi there,

Sorry about your issues, ware pads do normally ship relatively fast. I just checked and we only have one wear pads order open and that was from 7/6 so probably not your order. Obviously something is foobar here because we only close pending order when a product ships.

Would you mind sending me a PM with your last name or order number and I'll get this taken care of immediately.

I'd also reply to the tread on JK-Forum, however we are not sponsors there.

Not sure what happened it shows shipped but we don't have a tracking number. Definitely something got messed up either we forgot to send the order to GOBI or it got somehow lost in the matrix. Anyhow, not very good service on our part either way.

We will get them shipped ASAP and I'll PM you a 10% off code for anything else you may need from GOBI.

EAD is one of the good ones in this community. Handled like it should be.

OK so here is where we are at.

I've been on the phone with GOBI and basically we lost the order for whatever reason. This happens so rarely we don't need to type a lengthy corporate excuse, we just plain screwed up

GOBI have the wear kits in-stock and we are going send you a set of the AEV brackets free to cover the "pain and suffering". GOBI are expecting the AEV brackets in tomorrow so we will ship everything together tomorrow or Thursday.

I hope that works for you?

Can you PM me your address, I have it in the original order but want to eliminate any potential address errors and make 100% sure your get everything in your hands early next week.

Handled like a pro. Alec is family here. Good peep with a good company. Although it looked like he was going to have to kneel in the corner on the rice for a while.

Amen. We're all human and drop the ball every now and then. I'll go out on a limb and say EAD is a conservative stance company. If they were democratic or liberal in the least bit, they'd have tried to blame someone else but took responsibility and is making it right.
Makes me want to order something from them.

I would. I have been toying with the idea of buying a roof rack to make the JK more useful in the event I don't bail it for a truck. The Sharpwrax are nice, but Gobi is just plain proven so i'm kicking it around. If I go with Gobi, Alec will be hearing from me.
