Suspension setup

What percentage of sag should I figure into a lift setup mostly for rock crawling?

2% of the coil spring free length is the norm for coil spring settling over time. That is the coil spring industry standard for good coils. If you have a problem with one side which will typically be the pass. side of the vehicle (torque side), you might want to check the track bars to ensure the axle is still centered properly (make an adjustment if necessary) and then swap coils side to side! This will help everything square up if you have not let the Jeep sit in an unsquare position too long....

Thanks RK now is true for coils ,coilovers and or air shocks?

What is it you are actually trying to work out?

Sag is often used to refer to how much the springs compress over time. It is also used for static (racing) sag, how much they compress from unloaded to loaded with the vehicle weight.

Rather than how much a spring sags, you should be looking at suspension droop and compression if you want any meaningful info regarding the way the vehicle is used.

You'll get many different answers, but I perosnally view extended travel more important than compressed travel for rock crawling.

Thinking of running some air shocks on the jk.

You can possibly use Fox 2.5 air shocks on the rear for sure! The 2.0's rarely hold the load of a full bodied rig..
