Freedom Panels only as rain tops?

anyone use the Freedom Panels only in event of rain and bad weather?

I don't own any so not sure if it's a good idea or if it would force the rain right into the driver lol.

Any advice is appreciated

I've done it. YMMV but it doesn't work too well under certain circumstances. Heading straight into a light rain then most of the water winds up behind the drive/ pass seats, but...

when you slow down or stop... and the rain gets heavy and/ or comes in at an angle... then you're getting soaked.

I've wound up under a few car-wash bays and under a few gas station awnings over the years lol.

I think they're probably inconvenient as emergency tops.

I've used them as bikini top replacements for the front seats with main section removed. Cut down on the wind quite a bit. They wouldn't be worth a shit during rain.

Worked well enough on the freeway with no doors. Only problem was getting splash on the inside of the windshield. Definitely prefer running my Trektop NX in safari mode for rain.
