Need your opinion on 33's

I have a 09 wrangler unlimited sahara 6speed.

I am wanting to replace my stock wheels with more aggressive look and came to a closer conclusion with the following. I do not want to lift it considering i like a more wide look.

33"x12.50 goodyear wrangler mt/r kevlar tires
micky tompson classic lock 17x9 rims with a -12mm offset

I am aiming for a 2-3" outside of stock fenders.
Would this setup cause any rubbing if driven mainly on road?

Backspacing is a big thing with wheels, but I think the wheels you're looking at has 4 1/2 backspacing which was the same as my 7089 pro comps and I only rubbed a little at full turn before my lift... its very doable if you'll mainly be on the roads.

There are people who run 35s with no lift but i guess offset plays a roll. If i go 32's instead with same specs would probably decrease the chances no? i really like the 33's....

Yeah it would, but then you might as well look if anyone is getting rid of their rubi tires since they're 32in.. or 31in.. I forgot

From what i can tell a -12 offset on a 9" wheel is the equvalent of 4.5" of backspacing. I run 285/70r17's (33x11.5) on a 17x8 wheel with 4.5" of backspacing on my 2 door x w/ no lift and my tires stick out at least an inch to inch and a half. I don't rub at all on the street but rub offroad. So with 33x12.5's combimned with those wheels you be sticking out about 2.5 inches which by the sounds of it is what you are looking for. You may rub a bit but hopefully some other people will chime in. Hope this helps.

i run 285/75r/16 on 16x9 w-12mm offset and 4.5" back spacing. i have no issues with rubbing on or off road except for my S/B discos. they have the hangers for when disconnected and the tires rub on them at full turn if the tire is packed into the fender.

Additional feedback would be greatly appreciated befor I make an order. Another thing is that the micky Thompson classic lock whees are one of the few that offer a -12mm offset that's in 17x9 and made of cast alum which if lightwait for a less tension on the steering if that makes any sense?
