Good Jeep place near New York city?

As of right now, I have no space to do any DIY stuff - not to mention, I'm not too good with a wrench... Anyway I'm thinking about getting a new bumper for my 2007 Sahara. I just got it a couple of weeks ago and plan on doing a couple other modifications as well. It's my first Jeep but I think I've caught the bug...

Does anyone know of or can recommend a good Jeep place in the New York (Westchester) area that not only sells stuff for Jeeps (like lift kits, bumpers, winches, lights etc.) but will actually do the installations for me as well? Or, should I just have my dealer order and install my mods for me?

I'm very new to all this stuff so I'm also looking for any advise anyone is willing to throw out there as well.

Thanks!

Head over to the Northeast section and look up Lou aka Jerzeyjeep. He's a shadetree mechanic, and a damn good one. You have to hurry though, he ships out soon, but I know he is looking for some extra work to do...

And, while you're there, check out our rides and events. Take a trip down to the pines and wheel with us!

Stay clear from dealerships. It's not hard to remove a bumper and put on a new one, there's just 8 bolts you gotta remove and your foglights to detach. It's better to DIY your own mods in the long run imo... saves you more coin for more mods and you'll know your jeep better.

I dont know of any place in westchester, but over here in Rockland there is a place called 260 Auto Repair in haverstraw. They are total jeep people and install lift kits, etc. Might be a good place to look into, I have not used them myself but I have heard great things about them from other jeep people. Good luck.

worth the trip to visit JerzeyJeep. He's touched almost every jeep in the greater NJ, PA, NY area. he doesn't sell, but can put you on the path to what you need/want.
