what is under my carpet?

So im wondering what is under the carpet in my JK? Are there wires and such like other vehicles? I was tossing around the idea of taking out the carpet and bed lining the floor to ease clean up since my carpet is brown at the moment from all the wet weather.

I'm not sure about there being wires, i haven't removed mine, but wires can be relocated!

The rubicon is a 29 km. river in northern Italy. "Crossing the rubicon" is a popular idiom meaning to pass a point of no return. Originating from Ceasaer's 49 BC crossing of the river, which was considered an act of war

No wires underfoot, some under the seats and along/under the lip where the top attatches.

There are several posts where someone has bedlined their floor. It looks better when you strip the sound deadener material from the floor.

How loud and how hot does the floor get without the carpet?

I was thinking the same thing. Wanna pull the carpet and put my Quadertec floormats back in, over the sound deadners. Or maybe just strip the whole thing and bedline it with the hurculiner. Anyone done that either. Sorry for the jack

We pull the carpet out of all of our Jeeps and put in the Mopar Jeep slushmats (about $75 set) to give it a more finished look and insulate the floors a bit. The only wires are under the seats, and you can leave the floor plugs in to minimize heat and dust, and just pull them out when you hose out the floors.

Happy trails!

You're half-way there... you have the minivan engine!
