"Mr. T" personality for MyGig !!!

Hey guys,

Pretty new to the forum, but I thought I'd share something I've been tinkering with.

I found a way to replace most of the uConnect audio prompts with Mr. T sound clips. It's a pretty fun way to personalize your JK, or any other car with uConnect.

I can put in just about any personality, as long as I can find sound clips for it.

If anyone is interested, let me know.

If I had uconnect activated, I'd want Achmed the dead terrorist......it would be funny to patch into PA to broadcast "Silence, I kill you!"

Haha... I like the Achmed idea.

I'll see if I can get a video posted sometime soon.

Sure. Anyone in the area is welcome to stop by and check it out.

The install is just a modified version of the latest software update.

How / where do the modifications fit in? Are there MP3 or WAV files somewhere in the install that can be replaced?

I can't do much with the navigation prompts, I'm still trying to figure that out. It seems to be a somewhat proprietary format, not like any of the other nav systems I've seen.

I would have to remove the hard drive to get to that, I think.

This just replaces the uConnect prompts, mainly dealing with the BlueTooth and Voice Recognition menus.

The update disk has wav files for the prompts, I basically just replaced those with my own sound files. Fairly simple, really.

Hypertech - I'd say $5 would cover a CD and shipping, if you still want me to send the disk.

code is QNX, you can replace the hard drive. some have upgraded to 80 gig. no one has been able to hack the code. that's been tried since 07 and harman/becker isn't sharing.

On the hard drive replacement thing. Are they using SSD's for this or laptop drives?
