Tell her to look down by the clutch pedal and see if there are any wires that may have gotten broken.

Lee, didnt even think about yours being a stick. It could very well be the clutch sensor.

are you sure its not the battery? of course mine was the stock battery so its shit to start with, but mine died and would not crank but the lights would come on, dash would light up just would not crank, I was on a hill so I roll started it and it would not rev above 2500 rpm. It was just the battery.

put it in 4 low and crank it. just make sure you are clear to the front or rear if you are in reverse. You dont need the clutch to sart it in 4 low. Good luck.

I have a jeep and it goes over shit.

wow! never thought of that! Just had her try it. nothing. so, I'm guessing it's the battery. so, AAA to the rescue!(I hope)
I found a Advance Auto Parts not far from her hotel that has an Optima in stock.
I'll let you know what happens.

Isn't there a little door you can open on the side of the shifter colmn with a reset button? I think you open it with a screw driver. I remember reading something about it in the manual. May only be on automatics, though.

FIXED!!!
Well, come to find out it was the Anti-Theft Module. Brad at Stone Mountian CJD took care of it.
I have to say, he is a cool guy and a fellow JK owner. He now knows about JKO also and is joining up.
Thanks to everyone who tried to help!

Glad they helped you out Joker. Wish I could have gone down to help.

I always worry when I recommend a dealer to somebody.

Thanks man. I appreciate your help. Gotta say, I was really impressed at how cool they were. and Brad and I talked about MODS as well.
They were cool about the fact that almost nothing was stock on mine.

They replaced the "Wireless Control Module" (it was toast).
They also found code for a steering angle sensor and recalibrated that for me too.
