My Dilemma

I currently have an 08 JK x. The lease runs out in a few months. Trying to decide to buy the JK out then add lockers and a 44 to the front , or just buy a Rubi. The X will be about 13 K at the lease end. Rubi somewhere around 30K. So What would you all do?

I'm thinkin' i'd keep the X.

You'll save like 17K, which could be used for the mod's you want and then some...

Go with the X. Then use some of the cash you save to make it what you want. That's the main reason I went with the Sport ...cost significantly less, and I've been having a blast learning and building.

That's always a hot debate in axle circles. It comes down to $$$, if you can afford a full swap I say go with a 44 with ARB locker, but if you can't swing the money for a full swap, there's nothing wrong with beefing up what you have by using a super 30 kit ...aka: shining the turd. Its what I did with my TJ and I never had a single regret about it.

Yeah, the 17k that you'll save will go a long way with your build. Unless you are really wheeling hard core I'd just beef up what you already have like the post above said. Then you'll have bucks left over for some other mods like bumpers etc.

08 2Door Red Rubicon. Rock Krawler 5.5 Longarm Coilover, Polly rear Coilovers. AEV hood & wheels, 37"KM2s, JE Reel 1350 shafts, 5.38 Yukon gears, Superior axles, Shrockworks stubby, Fab Fours rear, sPod, Rebel Offroad brakes, Warn winch and lots more.
