Japanese Parts from Chrysler?

I don't spend much time in the engine bay, but I was doing some wiring for my lights and I see that we have Denso alternators. Denso manufacturers a lot of parts for the Japanese auto manufacturers.

I guess this is good for the Jeeps reliability but has Chrysler always been using Japanese electronics?

Denso has had parts on American cars for years, if not decades. I dont think its just Chrysler.

Denso has plants all over the world. I think most of their manufacturing is still in Mexico though. They have tight controls and are a very advanced manufacturing company. I dont know the history, but it doesnt bother me or worry me in the slightest.

Even if made elsewhere, DENSO stuff is Good to go. When I was working on my postgraduate degree in business, DENSO was used as an example numerous times of a company with fantastic manufacturing controls.

FWIW I'm in manufacturing and Denso kicks some ass. Having worked with a few American brands, German brands and Japanese brands of robotics, I have to say that hands down Denso has been the best. I would trust anything from Denso because of my past experience with them and their products.

My sig is HUGE in Japan
