Subwoofer wiring

I've seen other people mention that the wiring harness for the subwoofer and power outlet is already preinstalled, even in the models that didn't come with it. Can anyone confirm or deny this? I'm currently at work and don't have the means to check. I'd like to install the factory sub and have a power outlet in the rear, but don't want to mess around with wiring. I'm going to do it if it's there, but I'll come up with another solution if it's not. Thank you!

Look up a post by river city offroad. Marcus did it. You have to put a PAC inline someone, usually behind the dash, to get the preamp outputs.

Found it, thank you. However this is an install of a separate sub. I'm looking to install the factory sub with OEM enclosure.

Is assume since you do not have the preamp outputs on your current deck, you will need the PAC to get the preamp outputs. You can then wire in whatever amp and sub/enclosure you want.

Not sure if this is helpful but when I get around to the audio system on mine, I'll probably take this approach to upgrading the factory sub. I have already stuffed and damped all four enclosures. The front mains, the soundbar and the sub. Sounds great now.

Sorry for cross post to the other forum but it's a good thread.

Yup, already have my enclosures, front and rear, stuffed. It made an incredible difference, but I need more punch. The music is lacking depth, hence my need for a subwoofer. All I'm wondering is if the wiring exists in the rear of the Jeep already, so the sub would in effect be "Plug 'n Play". From what I'm gathering, it is not.
