Bestop Element door "versions"

anyone know if Bestop produced different versions/updates of the Element doors? I picked up a used set over the weekend with enclosures, uppers, and the storage bags. the enclosures fit pretty much like shit (good enough for what I paid for them and for trial duty doors.) the cutout for the latch on the enclosure seems to be held in place only by lip of the latch. as in the bolts for the latch don't actually go through the enclosures...is this normal? if I get everything lined up for that latch to sit on the enclosure and not fall through, it throws the front 3 mounting screws way off from being able to be used without drilling new holes. im wondering if the tube doors and enclosure skins might be different versions as in old style doors, new style skins.

I've seen those doors with the skins on and they appear to be very well made so I doubt you have faulty part with that many mismatching holes. Have you talked to Bestop? They helped me out in the past on a top even though I bought it used.

I own a set of these with the skins and the uppers. Their fitment is subpar for sure, the latches align very poorly with the holes in the skins and the uppers are a shoddy fit at best.

Sounds like your doors are "normal" haha. If you saw them on my jeep in person you would probably not notice the fitment issues unless I pointed em out to you. Most people that own them will report the same issues, fitment is quite poor.

The biggest issue i have is with the door latches and enclosures. Its almost like the opening in the enclosure was cut too big.

Beyond that they fit decent
