TOB, cluch replace

Started getting a bad squeal when on the cluch this weekend..110,000 miles not bad IMO...

So im going to replace it all...comes as a kit(Duralast) from Auto Zone..$260(not going spec as I do not get out Off road enough to think its a needed upgrade)..

Disc, Cover, Release Bearing, Pilot Bearing/Bushing, Alignment Tool, Grease Pack..

Going to use the Haynes book and NascarRubicon's write up to tackle this PITA...

Is there another or more up to date Write up NascarRubicon's is from 2012..
I am sure not much has changed but may be some new tricks out there that you guys know..

any other info would be great..

Thanx

Just did this swap last weekend.

113k miles.

TOB was squealing like a banshee. Pulled the stocker out and the damn clutch still looked new. TOB was toast obviously.

I got the LUK clutch kit and the national TOB, I went ahead and changed it out, but based on my driving Id estimate the factory clutch would go over 200k miles.

You can get the luk clutch kit from rock auto for $158.79 and the national throw out bearing for $36.79. Do not use an OE throw out with the plastic crap in it unless you enjoy removing the transmission.

Part number for the national TOB is 614093

All the parts are already on site..and I did get the plastic incased TOB...but if I get another 110K out of this one I call it good enough..

and on a side note...
this has to be the biggest PITA of any repair I have ever done on any vehicle..

6 hours under the Jeep and not done... have to put off finishing for a couple days

a week without the Rig is way to long
