Going back to stock fenders

I just ordered a '15 Rubicon. The dealership is letting take both jeeps for a week or so to swap lift, bumpers ect... I have poison Spyder aluminum fenders that are only 6 months old and would like to keep them. Has any one went back to stock fender after having poison Spyder? If so how would you go about it? I have a few ideas in mind.

Thanks

You cut a good deal! Often dealers will not let you remove significant mods like lift kits and fenders from your trade-in.

I have only installed the PS Crusher fenders but if you save the liner and all of the parts it should not be a problem. None of the holes I had to drill to install the new fenders interfered with the old mounting points. I broke a couple of clips during the removal but they are available from MOPAR. If you are installing the fenders from your new Jeep on your old one then there may be some changes.

What specifically are you concerned about, the trimmed liners?

You had to drill out a bunch of the mounting holes to install the nutserts for the rear flares. You may be able to get away with putting the stock ones back on since not all the holes got drilled out, but they won't be as secure as factory. You also won't be able to re use the nutserts so you will need to pick up a few of those. I think it is 7 a side.

I was thinking about buying some bolts and bolting the factory fenders to the nutserts.

That would probably work. They will be hidden by the fender liner so the next buyer won't know until they go to take them off.
