Hi all. Im a newbie to the Jeep world. Just picked up a '13 Sahara Unlimited and noticed that the a few of the clips holding on the rear fenders are broken. Im assuming I would need to remove the fender liner to replace them........does anyone have a written process on exactly how to do this?

I found the Christmas tree clips on amazon pretty cheap. Will I need to replace any of the fender liner clips? If so, do I need the rivets, the fender shield clips, or both.

Any info you can share would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

It's all just snap-together -- no rivets and no need to remove the fender liner first to replace them. There are some christmas tree plugs inside the fender liner, but once you pull those you'll find that the fender just snaps off the body with a quick, but firm, tug. The liner will come out with the fender. Be advised that you'll likely break some more of the clips in the process of removing the fender, so when you buy, buy extras -- lots of them -- to have on hand.

The front fenders are slightly more difficult to remove, but basically the same process. I believe there is a bolt/nut or two to remove, but they're obvious if you look up under the fender well. And, you'll have the side marker light wiring to unplug as well. If you go to Poison Spyder's site and pull up the JK Crusher Flares, there is an installation PDF you can download. As I recall, they give some information about removing the OEM fenders in those instructions.

Dozer is correct. All clip together stuff...and definitely buy more fender clips and molding clips than you think you'll need.

Do a search for Fender Trimming and you'll probably find additional info.

Good Luck
