XRC-8 Smittybuilt winch weight??

Hi Guys

How much will an smittybuilt XRC-8 winch and the Smittybuilt jk winch plate lower my front end? Am I looking at a 1/2" or greater drop? Found a great price on the winch and plate, but wanted to go bigger on my lift first! I have a 1.75" spacer lift which is great for what i have now, but if I add the winch and I feel my nose is going to drop! The jeep was fairly level with the spacer lift, then I added a modified Mopar steel skid plate and that lowered my front end by 1/4" to 1/2" now if I add the winch am I going to need to re-spring the front end? Maybe replace the front spacers and springs with 2" lift coils, leaving the spacers on te rear?

You could just swap for some Unlimited Rubi front springs.
Higher spring rate.

Well.. I can tell you that you will loose some hight. My winch (wire rope) and generic plate were aprox 120lbs. I lost 1/2" on my stock x springs. I put in rubi front springs and got 3/4" back.

XRC8 with wire is right at 90lbs. I have syn cable now and it is 67lbs. I got zero droop from the winch but I am running TF coils. I'd imagine 1/4 to 1/2 with oem coils. I would at a 3/4 spacer. I have a set of TF 1" spacers for sale

I couldn't tell any difference but my 35" tire pulls my rear end down too much. But with the same winch and Smittybilt SRC bumper on my Rubicon it didn't change the front height at all.

Same for me. I didn't get any height loss but I have a ProComp lift.
