Hood bumpers question

Just wondering what some of you have done to replace those ugly hood warts. I'm looking to do something unique like small LEDs or spikes or something of that nature. I've seen the "UFO's", but really don't feel like paying for something like that. I'm fishing for ideas. Thanks!

I bought cheap plastic plugs from home depot, bought a can of silver metallic paint and for less than $10 solved my problem. Not as cool as spikes or LED's but was cheap and better than looking at those annoying bumpers and the metal bar that I'll never use. Here's a pic of mine.

I'm thinking about painting my washer fluid sprayers silver as well. Thoughts?

I thought about doing something like that as well. I'm still trying to decide which way to go

Good thing about this, cheap and easy to go back or change later.
