I wired a JL sub 10" up to my factory stereo and it thumps pretty hard. I used to have a Toyota Taco with the same sub and an Alpine deck/ JL 250 wt. amp, and that set-up kicked ass. This is certainly not the same, but whenever I switch back to the little factory sub (for wheeling trips, because the JL box doesn't fit with all my trail gear)......I can really tell the difference.

On a stock hu...
I replaced the roll bar speakers w' 3-way JVC's and filled the bar w' poly fill
which gave it a nice crisp clear sound. I am waiting for a small 4 channel
amp to do the fronts.

You can replace the factory sub in the stock enclosure or trace the rear
cover onto some 5/8 mdf, fill the hole w' poly fill and drop in a 10" or 12".
I have the amp (an old 800w Cantus competition amp) mounted under the
drivers seat. The 10" Kicker has just enough air to really thump.
