imo it looks kinda funky if you have stock tires and suspension, otherwise it looks great, if you are stock take a look at the warrior rock crawler bumper, it has d rings, winch mounts, and brush guard for about 410

Check out ORfab
their stinger kicks ass. (looks dumb on a stock jeep though lol)

Yes, but there's just something about him. Something around the eyes, I don't know, reminds me of... me. No. I'm sure of it, I hate him.

I have the SRC and its one heavy pig, the powder coat isn’t the greatest, and the styling is subjective; but the price is right. I was looking for a cheap bumper to mount my winch, and it fit the bill nicely. I am going to replace it with something lighter in the future, but for now it serves its purpose.

I went the other way and just got the Expedition one DX. Its basically just a winchplate with shackles. I've been very happy with mine.

My bumper decision depends on a couple of things. I like the SRC front and rear for one reason. They are solid bumpers with tubes on the sides...they match nicely and would match nicely with tube sliders. If I get solid bumpers then I will want solid sliders to match. Just a thing with me. I want my JK to be functional but look GOOD at the same time. But my problem is I REALLY want tube sliders...so that limits my decision on bumpers too...gah! Choices!

Save up a little more and quadratech makes a nice bumper with a prerunner bar not bad looking and good price.. stuby bumper with a prerunner bolted to it. About 700 with drings bumper and prerunner. i think its the one made by bestop. its a modular bumber.

Nice one Codd. Why dont you go have a Crainal Anal Inversion and call me tomorrow?

Thanks to people like you I have job security!

Or-fab makes some great bumpers and I would be happy to discuss options with you. Shoot me an email at [email protected] and I will get you some shipped to you pricing on whatever bumper you would like.

First choices to make are width, then winch mounting options, then factory fog light retention, just some things to think about.

Thanks for the advice guys

I have been bumper shopping since I bought the Jeep. This is the longest I have ever left a truck stock! I have had the JK for a year and 4 months. It has not been the greatest year in the motorcycle industry and I am lucky to have even bought a new Jeep at all with the decrease in bike sales.

I know 500 is not much to spend on a bumper, and the reason I asked is I was hopping smeone with a used bumper, or a vendor with a scratch and dent or otherwise discounted bumper may speak up with "hey, I'll sell this for 500"

I think what I am going to get is the Poly Performance Bumper with the Rubicon skid plate. I will add the KOH or prerunner guard when I can afford to. I like the Poly because it looks light and I assume it is pretty light, and that the winch mount is an add on. On my last truck (95 Rover) I had a front winch. More ofen I needed to be pulled back out of something, not over it. So I am thinking on the JK that I would just have a rear winch. The on road handleing will be bettter with out another 100 pounds out front, and it will be easier to get the suspension right for the type of stuff I use the Jeep for. I have also used my winch to load busted up bikes into the trailer, with a rear winch, I can just drag the bike out of the ditch and into my trailer.
