Soft top opinion and parting out inquiry

Hey guys,
First the easy question, what do you think of the soft tops with the frameless fast backs? Good bad ugly leaks??? Thinking of getting one for my unlimited jk. Any advice, would need everything as my jk came with hard top so front channel and rear channel and door surrounds. What brands best? Cheapest? Full kits available?

Second question.
Thinking of parting out a 99 tj. Pretty basic, automatic. Dana 44 in rear. What's are some fair prices for major components? Engine, transmission, axles, transfercase, etc? I tried selling it whole for over a year and nobody bought it and I'm not giving it away cheap. I have a number I would take it for but it seems every time is lower it the bids get lower too
So I'm thinking I could make up what I wanted for it by parting it out. Motor isn't running due to a sensor and I'm pretty sure the pulleys have seezed on it now. But the rest should be in great shape except the tub needs a lot of work and the soft top is pretty much done unless you wanna see the stitching back together and put new zippers on it.

top

i have the TRektop Nx on my 2 door, which also just came with hardtop. this is a complete kit with all you need to mount. lots of options with windows off, bikini top and sunrider option. no leaks at all and very quiet for a soft top.

will be taking off for the winter in a few weeks.
