Power windows.

I just bought my first jeep (an '08 4 door Unlimited) and I have fixed most of the things that I have found wrong.

One thing that has thrown me a little are the back windows. Neither will roll down with any switch. The front works fine but not the back.

Any ideas where to start looking? If I had a wiring diagram I could probably go straight to it.

Thanks,

Check the quick disconnect plugs they always seem to be a problem once you start removing the doors.

Lightbulb Motors

The front and rear motors are the same. You can try swapping a window motor from the front to the rear and know if its the motors or something else.

Under the console is the connector for the rear windows, it's a pain to plug in so I've seen several left unplugged. Remove all 4 bolts holding down console and yank up on parking brake. Lift rear of console and check the rear windows are plugged in.

Like Asmmns said, try the door locks if those don't work either you know the problem is outside the door, which would be better. It'd be pretty weird to have the rear window motors go out before the front...

MoTech,

You couldn't be more correct. It was a bear to hookup.

I just have to ask what kinda shop does this?

They put a brake cable on this Jeep before I bought it and it may have been disconnected then. I'm sure they tried to fix it cheap.

Thanks again,

they unplugged it to get the console out to swap parking brake cables. I did the entire parking brake system and rear brake system on my 07 about 3 months before I decided to trade it in.
