CV Joint at rear axle busted - help

well long story short I was removing the rear DS to replace it. the rear at the CV damn near fell off in my hands.

only problem it did it like this:

How am I going to get the rest of this CV out to get my new one in?

It is not coming off the rear end.

Should be able to work it off the pinion drive flange with some well placed hammer & punch work. There's nothing else holding it on, it's just stuck on the flange.

lol. I deserved that jab.

I was looking for my vibration. after I compared my old DS to the new one it is no wonder. It had a dent, missing 3 of the 4 weights on the axle end and then this.
