soft top question

Hey hey,

I found a 2007 soft top, with all the mounting hardware, someone is selling to replace my 2008 softtop. I have a really bad leak over the steering wheel because the headliner is warped, and the stitching over the door is broken off the frame. I heard that later models can not be switched around. (07 with 12 for instance). I was just wondering that since these to model years are right after each other are they interchangeable? Thx in advance.

if i remember right, that would work. 2007-2009 are the same, 2010-2014 are the same

my header bar is also warped, i put the draft seal stuff for house doors on it and no more leaks

I have a 2012 soft top on my 08.

I used all the 2012 hardware, works fine.

Thx for the input. Right now I have dollar tree duct tape across the gap in the headliner. No more leaks in that area, but my jeep sounds like an open cockpit bi-plane when driving at high speeds. I'm going to check out the top this weekend. He has it listed for $400. Hope it's worth the hour drive. Thx again.

For reference, it's not that the 2 versions of the softops (3 counting premium) can't be used on any year. The catch is that all the hardware, particularly the door surrounds, must match the style of the top. You can't use a pre-10 top with post-10 hardware.

Bingo. If you get all the mounting assembly, you should be good to go.
