2.5 teraflex lift

I will be buying the teraflex 2.5 suspension lift with shocks for my 2014 JKUR..plus a one inch body lift(love the way it looks)
with 35' tires.
If anybody have this lift can you please tell me if this lift is complete or do I need to buy other stuff for it.
I will not be doing any rock crawling just the usual trail fun.
and if I do the body lift.dose that mean I will be looking to replace my drive shaft too...
Thank you in advance..

Which kit ? Are you doing a complete mid arm/partial or basic kit without ?

Driveshafts should be ok as far a operating angles. The front at droop might be a problem if it contacts the crossover.

I would go with front lowers at least. A little caster bump will help handling.

kjeeper10 is giving you some good advice. A set of lower control arms is like 250 bucks. Skip the body lift (why in the fuck someone would want a body lift in these things is beyond me) and start rounding out a good suspension system. Don't cut corners. You're buying a 40k dollar vehicle, why cheap out on important stuff.

The TF 2.5" lift was the first lift I did on my JKUR. My JK was stock otherwise, which meant it was light, which meant I got a little over 3" of lift out of it.

All that lift and nothing to adjust the caster made my JKUR handle like crap at higher speeds. The steering was darty/flighty. Anything over 50 mph required two hands tight on the wheel.

If that's how yours handles after you lift it, get something to add some caster back. Either adj lower control arms ($$) or the AEV or Rancho drop brackets ($).

i have the 2.5 budget boost and 1 inch more body lift on (kinda 35's) No need to change driveshaft and its a complete kit for what you are wanting.....I'm going to be changing mine up in a lil bit though... i've had this kit on for nearly 7 years and it still performs like it should...just getting a little tired of it and wanna upgrade.

with different rims and hardtop

That's the same set up I'm going with

I'll ad lower arms if needed

Body lift will keep center of gravity low & give you the tire clearance you need without the issues & cost of the higher lifts. Sure I would love to put a complete l/s arm kit on but $2000+ plus drive shafts is not feasible at this time.

I would rather be out wheeling than sitting home saving up for some day

I have used body lifts on 2 other trucks with no issues at all & plenty of abuse
1981 F150 4" suspension lift, 2" body lift, 37" Grand Prix's
1983 Toyota 3"suspension lift, 2" body lift, 35" Monster Mudders

Body lifts got a bad reputation when guys were going crazy with 3"-4" or more body lifts

Let the Haters Hate....do what works for you

OP, if you're going to do a body lift and have plans for using an after-market tire carrier later, you should probably check now -- some of them won't work with a body lift.

I've been running the 2.5" TF coil lift with shocks and 35 KM2's (33.75's) on a 12 JKU with 3.73's for a couple of years now. Runs great as a daily driver and plenty of oomph for the KM2 35s....used a Procal too.

When I do it over, I'll go with the TF 3" lift with the 4 ARMS, front lowers and rear uppers, and track bars front and rear and be done with it...I'd just like about another inch in height all around. No complaints from TF coils and shocks on mine.

I'm new to jeep just picked one up last week. I'm thinking about getting the teraflex 2.5 budget boost on my 2012 jku. I'm also going to get the geometry correction brackets. This is my daily driver and I was wondering if u guys think it will still drive like stock ? I've heard mixed reviews about running spacer lift I just don't want to spend the money on coil lift

The benefit to spacers is the soft stock spring rate. W/ the brackets and a good shock. The Jk should handle fine. Check the out Rancho 9000's w/ rebate.

I think one of the reasons for the mixed reviews is that the stock coils aren't known for being able to handle much additional weight before they start sagging.

So if your plan is to run a 2.5" spacer lift, and then over time add heavier things like a bumper/winch up front, a bumper/tire carrier in the rear, and skid plates, don't be surprised if the stock coils start to sag, and you net less than 2.5" lift.

Make sure you choose the right kit. There's a few. You want the one without shocks/extensions so you get the raised axle side rear TB bracket.
Check out Rancho's geometry brackets.

Edit: should of added. When I ran TF 2.5 coils, my jeep was nose high.
I would either install the coils first and see what you get. 2nd, go 1/2 or 1" all around.
The only way that makes some sense (1" front 1/2"
Rear) is if you're adding a lot of weight up front.

Yeah, don't forget about the rear track bar.

1" spacers in the front is way too much. Your Jeep will look like a gasser with that kind of lift in the front. I'd either skip the spacers (easy enough to add later) and see where you end up or swap them (1/2 in front, 1" in rear) to take away the nose high look.

Update

2.5" Suspension Lift
1.25"Body Lift
35 x 12.5 x 15 Tires

Set up works great, I can go most any place a 4"Long Arm kit will go
With the Flat Fenders I can fit 37"s easy
