3.6 manual 3.21 gears

Looking for someone with a 3.6, manual tranny, 3.21 gears and stock 225 75 16 tires. If you could give me the reading on your tach when you are in 6th gear and doing 70 mpg I would be grateful. Just put 305 70 16 tires on with 3.73 gears recalibrated the speedo and I was wondering how close to stock my gearing is. Thanks for the help.

Download a GPS speedometer app on your phone (there are a ton of them) and compare the reading to your speedo. A 305/70/16 is about 33 inches tall, so 70mph should be around 2100 rpms.

If it ain't broke, fix it 'till it is.

Verified 2100 on the tach. I have no idea the percentage of error, but there you go. Hope it helps.

Also note that chart provides engine speeds based on when the tranny is in the 1:1 gear. So,for the manual, that will be 5th gear. For the autos, fourth gear I believe.

The chart is based on final drive ratio. 6th gear for manual, 5th for auto.

If it ain't broke, fix it 'till it is.

Thanks for all the info. I ordered it with 3.73 gears because I knew I was going 305/70/16s. I was interested on how close to stock I got. With the OEM 225/75/16s it was geared way to high with the 3.73s but with the 305/70/16 it seems to be geared just right. Thanks again for the info.
