Rubicon Shocks

i got some shocks and springs from a friend of mine.my question is how can i tell if they are rubicons or not??

How good is your friend? Can you trust him?

The Rubi shocks should be red and they are a gas shock.

As far as springs go, if you cand find the part no., post it up and somebody may be able to help.

........My other hobbies include: Older cars and trucks; Spending money on unfinished projects, and continuing to not finish them...

Check the part number or compare to an actual Rubicon.

he is a good friend and i would trust him in a life and death situation.they must not be rubi shocks cause these are all black. and he couldnt remember if they were off his rubicon or not. ( on his second or third jk now).

The front springs should have some of the following numbers on them. It doesn't really matter if they were rubi's or not, compare yours to the ones your 'friend' gave you and see if they differ. the 18 is the highest rating. Generally the higher number is on the passenger side to compensate for fuel tank. Some 2drs have the same rated spring front pass and driver.

10-11
11-12
12-13
13-14
14-15
15-16
16-17
17-18


I've seen the rears from 55-59.

i ask because i want to put 33's on my jeep but dont have the money to lift it, but my understanding is 33's will rub unless i put rubi springs and shocks on my stock 2dr x.
