Favorite positive comment about my jeep....

The amount of attention and positive feedback that my jeep generates never ceases to amaze me. I get more comments and feedback on this jeep than any vehicle that I have ever owned. Kids standing on street corners pointing, the one or two comments I get just going to the grocery store. etc. You probably know.

By far, my favorite is: "...and it looks like you actually use yours too."

The one that makes me grin like an idiot is:

"When I first saw it, I thought it was mostly stock"

Makes my day, every time. I loves me some sneaky.

LOL.... back in the eighties when i was still a mechanic, I raced motorcycles at Infineon raceway back when it was still called sears point and a buddy mechanic a few stalls over raced go carts there. we both raced in several classes, as well as the stock "production" class and joked....

The three most famous lies in the world are:
"The check is in the mail"
"I wont c*m in your mo*th"
"it's all stock"

And even "stock" doesn't mean "stock" because there's updating and backdating, not to mention deviation of stock tolerances when you order several of a given part number.

edit: when racing in production class, your knowledgeable parts guy is just as cool as the hot dog mechanic.

If your jeep is built, any parking lot damage is going to take a toll on the other-than-fortified-jeep vehicle. The other guy is going to mash his/her door into your tire, bumper or rock rails. LOL..... and personally, I have no problem with that any more than I do with the dude in the expensive European SUV that backed into my stinger and shattered their rear window.

Yeah I had someone back into me with a 3/4ton. He was impressed and told me he didn't think he would lose to a jeep, and felt he wouldn't want to be in a head on collision with my jeep.

The kids tell me that when I run into a store and they don't come in with, there is usually a few people checking out the jeep and making positive comments. Like the op said I haven't had anyone coment me on any other vehicle I have owned.

My favorite is "That's exactly how it should have come from the factory!"
