CAUTION - Don't put a hot pizza on your front seat

I was in Daytona Beach this past week and ran out to bring a pizza back for dinner. I set is on the passenger seat, drove 3 miles back to the house. I went back out to the Jeep later and noticed a white spot on the seat. The pizza actually melted the nylon about the size of a dime. There isn't a hole but it left a spot. I was able to take a very sharp pocket knife and scrape it down to where it's barely noticeable.

Is it possible that there was some flour stuck to the bottom of the pizza box that got embedded in your upholstery? I image if the pizza was hot enough to melt the fabric that people would be complaining of severe burns after carrying the pizza on their lap.

FWIW, Sunday is pizza day in my house. I've probably drive 100 pizza's in my front seat. The only thing that's gone wrong is the cheese and toppings shift if I don't prop-up the downhill side of the box, or if I drive too fast.

The good thing is if you sit in the passenger seat your vagina will cover it up !

Could be but the fabric seemed melted. After running the knife over the area I was able to scrape 95% of it off. I've tried fabric cleaner and the spot is still there but hardly noticeable. I think a sharpie would do the trick. Plus I've been looking for an excuse for Trek Armor seat covers.

But the question is: Was the pizza worth it?
Ive gotten pizza from a sweet local place that uses an old cast iron oven and they tin foil wrap, then slip it into a pizza sized paper bag instead of a box. My treks didnt melt or even iron out lol

The scraping thing makes it sound to me like its either flour that was caked with heat and probably some moisture into the seat, or it melted in. Either way i bet it works out

Nothing in my jeep is sacred, except my jelly beans and apple liquorice. Don't touch those...

Jerry's Tiki Bar & Italian Grill - they make a great pie.

We're going to plan a meet up there one night at Jeep Beach next year. It's almost to the lighthouse on Ponce Inlet.

I figured that was what really put the spot there he just didn't want to admit it. it wasn't burnt in, it was dripping something that eats vinyl. LOL

So pizza is the new code word for your boyfriend leaking into your seat?

Sorry Mike, had to! Is he at least cute?

I have to put my pizzas on the floor, as the place I like to get pizza from is nice and greasy, and I found it stained my Challenger's passenger seat a little bit. Doh.

Your first mistake was calling it a pizza. If it wasn't from NYC, its nothing more than bad bread with sauce on it...
