Driveshaft question

Im wondering if there is a difference between the manual and auto front driveshaft. I wouldnt think so since its hooked to the transfercase and not the transmission, but Im not 100% sure.

True the DS is connected to the TC however the TC is also connected to the transmission/gear box
Luckily the TC stays at the same location so front DS length remains the same.
Note that is in reference to prior 12 non Pentastar models, should be the same for 12+ but don't know for sure.

Thanks. Just weighing my options. My front driveshaft has just started to sling some grease. Im debating wether to replace the driveshaft or use this repair kit to fix it.

The repair kit is relatively new and haven't seen any feedback on them yet.
However IMO it's a good option if they are good quality for someone in the 2.5-3" lift Category since the OEM DS is stronger than a 1310 and is more forgiving regarding alignment.

I stole a buddy's front driveshaft from his '12 auto JKU and put it on my manual '12 2dr when mine took a shit on me. No issues.
