Gone Fishin!

Just saw an ad for the Pocket Fisherman on TV - haven't seen one of these in years, these should come standard with all JK's.

On of my favorite childhood memories was watching my younger brother try and cast a pocket fisherman off a little dock on Pinecrest lake. He cast so hard he went head over heels right behind the cast line into the water! We were both in elementary school at the time.

Yep, My Pop had one hanging in the garage and that's where it belonged. Piece of crap didn't work for shit. All that being said I'll probably buy one and try to make it work, cuz I always liked fooling with his when I was a kid and who doesn't like memories of the shit hanging in Pop's garage and getting yelled at for messing with it.

Ha, I'm surprised the original commercial is still out there! Love the opening shot.

Wow that brings back memories. In the early 80s I backpacked around yellowstone for a month with one of those and caught many many trout in raging rivers, bubbling streams and lakes. Guy with me had a fancy folding flycast real and spent a lot of time in the sticks. May just have to buy another.
