Pentastar 3.6 Owners with higher miles - Post here

Wondering how the higher mileage 3.6 owners are doing with the JK's.

Any issues with the drive train. I'm sure there will be some that have had the dreaded head issue, but other than that, is the 3.6 doing good?

Not sure if I'm classified as "high mileage", but at 45000km on my '13, I've had the water pump replaced. Other than that, it's been fine so far.

No issues at all...knock on wood.

I have been wheeling all over Colorado and Montana both in summer time and winter.

Joe has about 55,000 in his 2012. So far no issues with the motor/trans.

2012 w/ 38k.

Water pump, a part in the torque converter assembly that was making awesome noises, POS battery (replaced with Interstate), recalled hoses, and this week getting cylinder #6 taken care of.

1.) Head replaced
2.)3 outer axle seals (all rear)
3.)Head gasket replaced (dealer F'ed up the new one doing head install)
4.)Trans Input bearing (rebuilt the trans)
5.)Throwout bearing replaced
6.)Steering box replaced
7.)Upper and lower ball joints replaced
8.)transfer case is making some wonderful sounds, just not when the dealer drives it...
9.)Both door panels removed to fix window tracks that were rattling

All this and I am gonna roll over 30K this week... By far the worst vehicle I've ever owned in terms of build quality. Jeep has seen 1 trip to RC and a couple trips up to our cabin. Its a daily driver 6 miles round trip to work. At what point do I complain to chrysler and what would I even ask for? Extended warranty due to excessive repairs?

Specs on the jeep are 2" springs, 35" KM2's, poly steering, factory 3.21's, poly arms, tera trac bars... nothing special

Cant Fix Stupid...

'12 Sport w/6sp and 44,600 miles. One cylinder head (cam & phaser replaced after dealer screwed the install of the head replacement) and the trans (lack of fluid from the factory) replaced after 6800 miles (cyl went out on the way to '12 KOH and trans went on the return trip about 30 miles from home). Other things I replaced because I wanted to are Rubi axles (sleeved & gusseted), RK 2.5MT, 37 Trail Graplers and Diablosport Trinity (as of Saturday).

RK 2.5MT w/ Fox remotes. Front Rubicon axle with Terraflex sleeves & upper C gussets & self made axle truss & skids. Rear Rubicon axles with self made skids. Stock 4:10 gears. 37x12.5x17 Nitto Trail Grapple on stock painted wheels. XRC8000Comp winch on stock stubby bumper. Smitty overhead console. Uniden CB w/ 105" whip. DiabloSport Trinity.

Had the #6 cylinder replaced last Thursday, brought her home. Next day on the way home from work, CE light comes on, ETC light comes on, temp gauge pegged at zero. Made Jim Click tow from my house to the dealership yesterday.

66K here and did have the head repaired early on at about 15K.... Not much to report other than two sets of brake pads all around.

Doing great with no complaints!

I know Jeeps aren't exactly the apex of quality but if this was mine I would drop the sumbitch like a turd sandwich covered in spiders and never buy another Jeep again. I got pretty close myself with my '09. I got to know the inside of the service area really well....

Manual. Took the dealer a couple of weeks to get a new trans, then another couple to get cyl head finally fixed (total of 31 straight days in the shop).
