minimalist front bumper....

more bare than the bare bones....

I like the Genright winch plate because it is low cut. Those are EVO D-Rings.

Lighting wise, those are Cibie H4's (Narva 55/100) and I just put the Hella Micro DE fogs (Narva +50 H3) back in, which are wired to the stock switch. Both sets of lights have their own direct harness and relays.

Just need to put the rope, thimble and license plate bracket on.

I like that a lot...great functional setup there. And it does look like the 4xfix / Woods / Swag / Dominion bumper, whatever he calls his company these days. I've got one and I love it.

VKS just came out with one that would be extremely minimal without the stinger.

I love my Shrockworks front bumper, and wouldn't consider chopping my frame rails again …but if I was going to this would be my choice.

Thumbs up re: minimalist front bumper....

like @Night Hawk , I have had a great cust experience and product experience with Expedition One ; I snagged their Basic DX w/ side wings in bare metal on 'black friday' past & immediately heard back from Customer Spprt sales division manager that they apologized for not having a bare metal in stock + it would take weeks to get one (?) so they offered me the wait or free powder coating; would that be ok? duh.
It was also 'Holiday Free Shipping' time of year. It is sturdy as all get out (shackle mounts are 1" thick and front/back welded )and looks great with wings on for DDing or , if im wheeling on the Tennessee Limestone/Granite combo I love to crawl so much , without . I used very large wing nuts to attach the wings so I can field yank 'em off as quickly as I can disconnect my swaybar QDs ,,
scale of 10? an 8-9 for total product value, experience and part quality.

<<edit for additional choice factor: ...i meant to include the final, ,deciding factor on the Expedition One choice ( which was-as all parts I chose are based upon) of front bumpers ; weight. Alone ( the stubby base)it weighs 24lbs.Wings are approx 4-5lbs a piece . the winch w/ synthetic comes in at 84lb , so I only added about 115lbs total..l always try to imagine how much worse the 3.8's would drive if ya added an ARB or Fab Fours or ( god forbid) a Smittybilt or one of those craptastic 'Aries' things that weigh what a small human does before the winch; how about that monstrosity that is the FullMetalJacket that FabFour put out? it's like 200lbs ! >>

I've been eyeing this one due to price and what I can do with it.

Rough Country

re-uses the OE driving lights and can bolt d-rings to it as well. (not my jeep in the pic)

I like Shrockworks. They were on my shortlist for a while. I really like their sliders but ended up with the very similarly designed LoD sliders.

Well, I had their front bumper on there and simply removed it because I started second guessing the stinger. I liked the weight savings and the way it looked so left it.

I did see that they listed the winch plate as available separately for purchase on their site but the link no longer works:
"◾Optional: Winch "Tray" (FBB-6000) necessary to mount a winch in this front bumper."

Where'd you get your Cibies? Running Truck-lites right now, want to get rid of them, thinking Hella H4 E-codes at the moment, maybe Cibies if I can actually find a pair.

My Cibie e-codes were purchased from Daniel stern and my Hella e-codes were purchased from Susquehanna.

I was planning to put the Hellas along with a set of Narva Rangepower +50 bulbs on the local classifieds in the next day or so if you are interested. PM me if interested.

Were you running Hellas before the Cibies?

This is my Minimalist front bumper. I like everything about it except how low it sits (right on top of the crashbar). It only weighs 30 ish pounds, and for the price, cannot be beat.
