Nitro R&P

I have been running Nitro 4.56 gears for 9 months and up till today every thing was fine. But today they pretty much blew up while mall crawling. I had them professionally installed so I'm pretty confident the installation was correct. Has anyone else had any issues with nitro ring and pinion?

With any ring gear break like that, I'd want to see the gear pattern and the backlash reading before making any assumption. However, that is a fairly solid break (looks like more teeth are broken further along the gear) and I wouldn't be suprised at all if the carrier has bent as well.

I recommend Motive Gears we run them on our KOH buggy and they do hold up.

Im waiting to see if Nitro is going to cover the R&P and if not ill change to something else. Im looking at Motive or Yukon but im going to give Nitro the benefit of the doubt until they deny my claim.

I'm also running nitro 4.56's locked w/ no issues for a year with monthly trips to Rausch. Another wheeling buddy is also running the same gears. That sucks, hopefully it was a fluke.
