Took home my first American car ever yesterday and its a 2014 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. Sold my 2013 Audi S4 for it, so this is quite the change.
I'm a big European car guy at heart, but I wanted something a bit slower to drive on a daily basis. I found the a lot of the slower cars felt cheap too: Civics, Mazda 3, etc. The Jeep is slow, but purposeful, not cheap and tinny, the doors still close with a solid thunk. I loved it from the first test drive.
My weekend / fair weather car is going to feel a hell of a lot faster now, which is exactly what I was looking for.

The weekend toy: (2013 Golf R with a 5 cylinder 2.5L big turbo engine swap)
I'm looking forward to finding places to use the Jeep off road. If anyone around MA knows any good beginner trails, I'd love to meet up and have a look. I've got a lot to learn.
No immediate plans for the Jeep other than a bunch of lights for the front end. It seems the Rubicon has enough gear to keep me learning for some time.
Thanks for reading, looking forward to reading / learning.
