lat long gps coordinates

I found a good website to easily pull lattitude and longitude from. Just move the map to where you want it then left click and you will get your lat long from that point.

I had to google what mgrs even was. I guess I passed my asvab and didn't need to know that grunt stuff.

i asked the question trying to guess what your past was. in the wing we use both and its really fucking annoying haha
But regards to your post, its very helpful. im looking for an off road GPS but as a back up i can use my phone

We had to use both for state USAR planning section classes and have to say the MGRS (USNG) is much easier to use. Plus you don't have to worry with the datum. Plotting that stuff by hand sucks either way you slice it!

yea i agree. it does suck but! if your in a bind and know how to find a way to use a map and get your way out of it hell im glad i know it!
