Favorite mods under ~$50??

I started a similar thread on a Mustang forum Im a member off and there were some really cool ideas that resulted.

So Ill ask you guys. Has anyone found some neat, very low budget mods that they like a lot? Whether it was a cheap DIY project or just a small part you bought that ended up being neat post it up!

As far as practical upgrades/mods are concerned, I would have to agree that seat heaters will probably win. But if you're talking cosmetic, DIY grille inserts are pretty high up there IMO... haven't done this yet, but it's next on my list. The VDP fuel door is also a good cosmetic upgrade.

Why would anyone need a heated seat?

. . . Guess I'm a spoiled Florida boy.

My favorite is my bluesea fuse block (mine is the bigger one but I got an open boxed/return for ~$50)

Best Mod under $1? Hood Latch Zip Ties!
Best Mod under $10? Body-Mounted Bottle Opener (great conversation starter, don't have to open a door)
Best Mod under $50? While I paid $199 for HellFire, a DDM/EBAY class 35w hi/lo Kit with Harness runs about $60. If you only had $50 you could do the low-beam only version for $40.

i put some low cost LED light pucks under the dash and wired em into the dome light harness... my '07 didnt come with under-dash courtesy lights.

i also added a LED light mounted on the soundbar and a switch for a reading light for the front passenger.

got some used yakima drip rail mounts... used some old conduit for cross rails. all totaled under $60.... so its close enough.

made my own cb and ham radio antenna mounts. just used some flat stock bent at 90 degrees and mounted them to the spare tire mounting bolts on opposite sides. just some old scrap i had, so free. same could easily be done with a chunk of cut square tube or some heavier angle steel (old bed frame?). i've made lots of cool random junk from old bed frames.

Remove plastic tray in trunk. Lots more room without it. I put pry bars, adjustable wrench, long screwdrivers in the jack storage and in the big area I have a snatch block, 2 recovery straps, small tool kit, tire plugs, shop towels, tie wraps and a small 12v compressor. Also a can of Slime fix a flat. I couldn't fit it all in with the plastic liner.
