Strange noise coming from engine, please help

2007 Jeep unlimited Rubicon, auto trans, 90k miles
Just began to hear this whining noise coming from the engine.
the a/c is off and when the motor revs up, the noise gets faster.
It sounds like its coming from the area of the water pump. The water temp is not getting hot, nor leaking water so not sure a bad water pump could be the source.
I replaced the water pump about a year ago so its not that old either...
Just hope its nothing major.
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks
Daniel

take the belt off and run the engine. does the noise go away? don't run for very long with out the belt some of the aftermarket parts are junk so it could be your "new" water pump.

Tensioner or idler pulley shot. I'd replace them at the same time. They tend to go out pretty close to each other.
