Thanksgiving Project (Rear Bumper)

I had some use it or lose it vacation time so I took Thanksgiving week off and finally built myself a rear bumper. This isn't going to be a write up. I guess I just need to brag a bit and show someone who won't ask "Why is that better than the one it came with?".

I started with 66" of 4" X 8" 3/16" rectangular tubing and 2' of 3/4" X 2" flat stock. I used an angle grinder, drill press and my MIG welder.

Very cool. Nice job. However, I would prefer a 6' Amazon blonde for Christmas. I think she could get my stick hot enough to weld...

That doesn't sound very healthy, usually a burning sensation down there is bad

Thanks for the compliments.

I had planned to take more pictures and weigh it, because I knew that question would be asked. Unfortunately I get to working and forget to take pictures, and when it was done, I just wanted to see it on the jeep so I forgot to weigh it. This is just a guess, but I would say around 60 lbs.

Haha, "It's an Amazon Blonde thing. You wouldn't understand". That's a new bumper sticker right there...
