Stupid Change Oil warning

Dumb little warning won't go away. I performed the steps in the owners manual and no luck.

"turn key on, do not start engine.
slowly depress accelerator 3 times
turn key off."

Wellllllll after about a dozen attempts no luck.

the pedal should cycle in and out in about a second; repeat three times. then i believe that you will hear a chime.

I'll listen for that chime. I eventually got frustrated, cracked a beer, and then cleaned my 2nd amendment defense tool.

Make sure you are turning your key all the way to just before it starts. If you have a manual the best way to make sure is to keep your foot off the clutch so that it can't start. The first time I tried it, no luck. The second time I had the key all the way until all the dash warning lights were on. There is no chime. Slowly depress the gas pedal three times, then turn the key off. Worked like a charm for me.

Send a message via Yahoo to thaduke2003

You have to firmly push the throttle all the way to the floor, let it all the way out, rinse and repeat 3x, and it should reset- Mark W.

I had the same problem first time i tried it. turned out my aftermarket floor mat wasn't letting the peddle go all the way to the floor.

I've even gotten it to turn off with 5 pumps of the gas. Shouldn't be too tough

You have to do it before 1135 and 1138 during the harvest moon...

But on a serious note it does work just do it till it works,

Didn't work - beer time again.

Ok at this point I'm liking that it isn't working! Beer!

I got it to work with 3 pedal pushes but I squinted with my right eye and had my tongue just slightly sticking out of the left side of my mouth. I can't tell you what I was holding on to while I did it, for security reasons....
