It should be painted with a nice warm shade of pumpkin.

I voted silver with black. Black cover will disappear under there.

EDIT>high five BigO I didn't see that one.

Yep, Red with Silver skull.
Pretty awesome looking, I'd say! Don't do the skull in black, it'll be un-noticeable.

I have a silver Rubicon 2 door, with the ARB red covers, and the silver ARB lettering looks good.

I say black on the pumpkin and silver on the skull.... yes the black would blend in with the rest but the skull would stand out even more.

I like those Teraflex covers, they are beefy!
A friend and I got into an funny argument about which was heavier, the Teraflex or the ARB. Kind of stupid to take them off to compare but we did, mess and all.
The ARB won by .75 lbs!
It did give us a chance to replace both gaskets with LubeLockers (his was leaking-he had used RTV).

Do yours exactly like in the photo, but paint the center of the fill plug red.

wow... those are kickarse! didn't know RR had these.

hmmmmm.

well i think orange would look pretty BA under your silver rig. but since that wasn't an option... i voted for Red with Silver insignia... just like in the photo.

BTW... i wouldn't powdercoat them. they're gonna get beat up anyways... just prime and paint... then sand off the insignia. this way you can touch them up a lot easier (and not to mention cheaper) when you do scuff them.

I'd do like eMetal, paint it whatever color then sand the paint off the logo, clean it, then shoot some clear over it to keep the logo from rusting.

Post Rocks

It does not matter what color it is. The rocks will take it back off. If it is not hitting the rocks then you don't need it!

Paved Roads - Another Fine Example of Unnecessary Government Waste!
Modes - 3.5" Lift - Steel Jeep Bumper with Winch. Body Armor 4x4 Rear Bumper and Rock Sliders. - Hard Top painted White to repel the HEAT! - Ham\CB Radio - A few dents and Scratches John Bull Mod to Front & Rear Diff Covers. Woods Steering Stabilizer Relocation Bracket. Off-road Front, Rear and Rock Lights, Rear CAM, On Board Air.

heres one for yah...

I use to paint cars/trucks and powder coat a few things....
Powder coat that sucker Fire Engine Red!! Then half way through the baking process, take a spray bottle and lightly mist it with metal flake.

Or mix the metal flake with the powder and then spray it.

It will set off the color even more...Then grind down just the face of your skull with bones and powder coat that with bright White with metal flake...

YOu'll have a diff cover like none other.. Plus you'll see it from a long way back..even when its dirty!! Painting it Red with silver just is'nt enough.. the silver will look just like the ARB and it will blend in too much. The silver with red would look cool but I'm afraid it just won't stand out like you would like...the Skull and Bones will blend in to much from a distance...cause its a darker color.

Current project jeep 08' wrangler 2dr
Past jeep:
- 07' Rubicon 4 dr, RAMICON- 3.5" ROCK KRAWLER Coil-Over lift
- 5.38 gears- Gusseted/Trussed/inner sleeved
- 40" Pro Comp X-Terrain

That is a good idea, I didnt even think of doing some sort like that, I have High Gloss Mirror Black Powder Coat as well.. hmmm Ideas... Fire engine red with some black mirror maybe... that could be interesting.

The nice thing about Powdercoat is if I dont like it.. I just blast it and recoat!!
