looked at the forecast tonight and decided that 4 days w/o rain would be worth taking off the doors for the first time since I've owned her. Boy, That's a PITA the first time you try it, eh?

Happy camper here...

Sweet! I've had the doors off for the last week. I just leave the door nuts off now. Its way faster without having to mess with them.

I actually put my doors ON for the first time in 2 months today, felt very claustrophobic driving to work. sux, I think I'd rather be wet than have the doors on.

Once you get your routine down it goes a lot faster.

I took the red clips for the harnesses out with needle nosed pliers. They clip nice enough without them, and they get easier to disco after a few times. Left the torx nuts off too. A drop of grease on the pins helps. I use lithium.

You get to where you know the balance point of the doors without even thinking about it. I do the one arm through the window and one hand on the mirror bracket routine.

We've had so much rain this year that taking the doors off is nearly as automatic as tying my shoes. Although I've had them off for all of August except for one day.

I just gave up on the interior ever being dry again and pulled all the carpets. I now hate riding with doors. Feels like I'm sitting in a lunchbox.

So, how did you like your first doorless experience?
