I have a jeep green Sahara....I have noticed in the sun that the grill is actually a lighter shade of green than the rest of the jeep. My idea is to just take it out this week shave off the JEEP logo, sand and paint flat black.....
What do you guys think?

I noticed Andy's @finishlinewest is black and it looks good...i plan on just using some cheap flat black paint for plastic so when it chips it is easy to remedy....or even that hammered finish paint at Lowes....

I am gonna work on it this week...I am on-call so I won't be driving my jeep all week starting monday so I will start on it sunday night....If not guess i will go to the dealer and get a rattle can of jeep green and put it back green...haha or just paint the whole jeep flat black...j/k

I am gonna leave the JEEP logo on first and scuff it and paint in flat black too...and if it looks stupid i will take it off then...just trying different things....

I agree with the crowd, when my gets too many chips I'll have a black grill. It really does look good.

Do NOT do the hammered finish. It has tons of pits that will catch all kinds of crap and will be impossible to clean.

I hit it w/ spray on bedliner and I couldnt be happier. One added benefit of the bedliner is that bug guts do not stick to it. I thought it was just a fluke, but I talked to another guy w/ a JK who had also done his grille in duplicolor this weekend and he told me he was enjoying the same added benefit. That's my 2 cents...

Got my first coat on tonight....got dark on me so I stopped....shaved the jeep logo...going to finish up another three coats tomorrow afternoon and let it cure for at least a day maybe longer...will get pics up as soon as i am done....
