2014 JKR Ordered

Looks like I'm getting back into the JK world after selling my '09 Rubi last Spring. It will take 3 to 7 weeks to get built and delivered. The caviat is that I have to sell one of my two vehicles before it gets here. 1991 Porsche 911 and/or 2006 Silverado. I know the number 2 guy at the dealer and he told me to build the JK online and he'd order it. If I can't buy it when it gets here it isn't any big deal because he said it will sell.

Options include:
Granite Crystal Metallic
5-speed automatic
Remote Start
730N Navigation
Auto Temperature A/C
Power Convenience Group
Heated Front Seats
Trailer Tow Group
Connectivity Group
Deep Tint Windows
Sunrider Top
4.10 Axle

Build will be (Updated):
Metal Cloak Duroflex 2.5" Lift
Bilstein 5100 Shocks
Exhaust Spacers (Rugged Ridge)
Wheels - ProComp 7069
Gorilla Splined Lug Nuts
Tires - Goodyear MT Kevlar
AEV ProCal

Surprise Straps
Tuffy Conceal Carry Drawer
Tuffy Security Console Insert
Tuffy Security Tailgate Enclosure
Spider Web Shade JKini
CB & Antenna
Drake Offroad Fire Ext Mount and Clamps
Trail Cover

Synergy Jeep D30/D44 Front Axle Assurance Kit
Front Bumper JCR Dragger
Front Bumper Skid - JCR
Rear Bumper w/Tire Carrier ACE
Rock Rails ACE
Winch - Warn M8000

Future
Flat Fenders Wide*ACE
aFe Y-Pipe 49-46215
SPOD
KC Slimlites - Long Range
KC Lite Brackets

I was a huge fan of your last Jeep. I only remember because I bookmarked your build page and have looked at it a few times for ideas. It wasn't over the top...seemed very functional. Can't wait to see how the new one turns out! Welcome back.

This is a real Jeep. Everyone knows that real Jeeps only have 2 doors.

I made some decisions about the build and updated the build list. The main decision was the lift - going with Metal Cloak. It will cost a little bit more so to stay within my budget ($10k), I switched from a Warn Zeon 10s winch to a Warn M8000. The Zeon is overkill for the type of wheeling that I do and the M8000, while a little slow, is a proven workhorse and I had one on my last rig.

Build will be (Updated):
Metal Cloak Duroflex 2.5" Lift
Bilstein 5100 Shocks
Exhaust Spacers (Rugged Ridge)
Wheels - ProComp 7069
Gorilla Splined Lug Nuts
Tires - Goodyear MT Kevlar 35"
AEV ProCal

Surprise Straps
Tuffy Conceal Carry Drawer
Tuffy Security Console Insert
Tuffy Security Tailgate Enclosure
Spider Web Shade JKini
CB & Antenna
Drake Offroad Fire Ext Mount and Clamps
Trail Cover

Synergy Jeep D30/D44 Front Axle Assurance Kit
Front Bumper JCR Dragger
Front Bumper Skid - JCR
Rear Bumper w/Tire Carrier ACE
Rock Rails ACE
Winch - Warn M8000

Future
Flat Fenders Wide*ACE
aFe Y-Pipe 49-46215
JE Reel Driveshafts
SPOD
KC Slimlites - Long Range
KC Lite Brackets

I disagree, real Jeeps can have 4 doors.

Some new parts arrived yesterday - Thanks Marcus!

Silverado sold the first week at full asking price. Porsche has 3 potential buyers. Going back to a Jeep and a Harley.

BigMike,

I look forward to following your build. I just re-entered the Jeep world and also got a 2 door for my daughter. We appear to live in the same town. If you ever need an extra hand, let me know.

Cheers,

Mike

I got confirmation today that my JKR is built and on the train. Dealer shows a delivery date of 11/25 but feels it will be here faster than that.

Metal Cloak lift shipped. It should be a very fun Thanksgiving build weekend!

Mike (ToyCollector), I'll shoot you a PM when I ready to start wrenching. Feel free to stop by! I'm 2 blocks south of the Roswell Square.
