Talking Surf Blue Pearl Coat -Pix

Howdy folks,

Here is one of the 'new' colors for Wranglers, "Surf Blue Pearl Coat".

Both of these X's came with Rubi BFG's and the Rubi shocks. Enjoy

Here is what the "Sport" decal looks like, for those who haven't seen it yet:

(wish they had that smiley on all the forums!)

The blue is not as bad as it sounds.. but it is still bad IMO...just not for me.

too close to this:

The sport logo would be the first thing that came off the Jeep right after the detail sticker that shows build/price...

Got a pic of the new black pearl?

Needs a Houston Oilers logo on it. Oh wait.....or is that Tennessee Titans? No matter. Bud Adams would drive it, I'm sure.

Jeep has always struggled with blue. Personally, there is no blue car I have ever liked. So, we drop Detonator yellow, one of the most popular colors ever, and we get Smurf instead? At least the horrendous 09 blue is gone.

Im glad rescue green is gone. It's a classic now lol. I honestly get people asking me things like, "did you have that color special made?" People forget quick.

I'm a fan of blue but not that kind of blue. I've got a steel blue JK and frankly, I don't know why in the hell Jeep got rid of that color. It was one of the best IMHO.

Robin egg blue = ... What the heck are they thinking? The people that make these decisions need to fired... I liked the Steel Blue; they should have left it alone.

If that was it, Clackey would have to buy a new one!

WTF. That sh!t is horrible. I've seen in on Patriots awhile back and couldn't believe they decided to put it on the JK.

Surf Blue. It should be Smurf Blue.

There was a great looking dark blue on the TJ at some point that actually looked ok with some chrome. The 09 Blue works around this area as a pretty close match to the Colts color.

This color looks better on the 2-door than it does on the Unlimited, but it's not for me.

When it comes down to it, not all colors are created equal but I appreciate choice and differentiation of vehicles on the road. I'm never going to buy a PT Cruiser or Audi TT, but at least they spice up the monotony that is our hoard of Camry's and Tahoe's and RX330's and Caravan's on the road today. Likewise with colors...that incredibly gay purple that was used around 1998 on the TJ might not be my first choice, but you know some girls are only driving Jeeps right now because they loved that color when Dad took them shopping for their first used car. And if Smurf Blue puts people in Jeeps that would not have otherwise bought one, then so be it

I always dug Patriot Blue. For every Sunburst Orange, Daniel-San, we must have a Surf Blue... It's Yin and Yang.
