She understands it now.

My wife and I were discussing my Jeep yesterday. She said that when I first bought it she doubted I would be happy with a manual trans, hand crank windows and manual locks. My last 2 cars had leather seats and power everything and she thought I would miss it. We were talking and I happened to mention that I don't miss those comfort and power options one bit because I love the Jeep so much. (I knew it wouldn't be an issue since I'm a former CJ7 owner).

She said that she fully understands the whole "Jeep thing" now. She said that she realized it the first time we drove with the top off. It really hit her that first time we took it off rode.

My wife was coming from a loaded (pwr everything, heated seats etc) Liberty Limited and figured she wouldn't be able to live without the Sahara options and an automatic tranny when she ordered her Unlimited.

It only took a couple weeks with my manual X for her to admit that she wished she had skipped the Auto on hers... I think she still likes the power windows, if for no other reason than she can put them up and down comfortably from her seat, but I make fun of the power locks...

I had the same issue with my stepdad he said dont get a car without A/C. My response was simply "Im not... Im getting a Jeep!!" Now I have to explain on a regular basis why I had to have a new one if I was going to replace everthing anyway.... I guess its true, some people just dont get it!!
